4th Grade Comparison Of Fractions <, >, = - Another day, another Math game! Hey, kids! We just arrived at our new destination, and it’s time to once again dive into a whole new lesson-- Comparison of Fractions! We have just recently discussed how we compare decimals, and now, we’ll take it to a whole new level! Fractions, yes, it may sound boring, right? But we will assure you that this will enlighten your minds and elevate your knowledge level! It's typically useful to know which fraction is greater than or less than the other when given two or more fractions. In order for us to find it, you must identify a common denominator to determine which fraction is greater than the other one. Afterward, the fractions can then be compared directly. The fraction with the greater numerator is the greater fraction, as it comprises more parts of the whole, as long as the denominators are all the same. On the other hand, the fraction with the lesser numerator is the smaller fraction because it comprises fewer parts of the whole. This may not be the easiest topic there has been, but the knowledge you will attain in this lesson will surely be applicable soon when you deal with much more complex problems!
