Teach children multiplication through a game

Children loves to play and in order to teach them how to multiply or learn the multiplication table, there are plenty of ways on how to help them do it and one of these ways is through games. Now, when we talk about games, we can search up some of it on the internet or we can also improvise our own activities that we think will suit the children’s learning capabilities. But the important thing here is to help them familiarize with the numbers and multiplication first. After introducing multiplication and explaining its basic definition, you can then proceed to come up with games that will help them have fun and learn at the same time.
One example is a game that almost everyone is familiar with, rock, paper, scissors. You can group them or pair them up and make them play rock, paper, scissors and the one who loses the round has to answer one multiplication from the table and if they answered right, they get a point but if they answered wrong, their opponent gets to steal the chance and answer.
But since the pandemic and some are taking online classes, we can’t really play rock, paper, scissors to its full potential as some students might experience internet connection problems or lag but fear not as we do have another idea which can be done virtually. All you have to do is create basic lyrics for a song in which there are blank spots left for the children to sing along and answer the song.
